PETROL d.d., Ljubljana Warning Regarding Expected Business Results The information contained in this announcement will be available on the website of Petrol d.d., Ljubljana, www.petrol.si, for at least five years from the date of publication. The Supervisory Board, at its 20th meeting today, was informed of the current operations of the Petrol Group in 2026 and estimates that the EBITDA indicator of the Petrol Group for this year will be 15 to 20 % lower than planned. Operations are significantly worse, primarily in the sale of petroleum products on the Slovenian market. Losses from the sale of petroleum products in Slovenia, which amounted to as much as EUR 27.5 million in March 2026 alone, will not be recoverable. At the same time, the Petrol Group is facing unforeseen regulatory restrictions on the Croatian market, which are having an additional negative impact on operations. Petrol has been warning for several years that the current model for determining the prices of petroleum products is inappropriate and does not provide conditions for stable and sustainable operations. Slovenia and Croatia are among the few European Union countries where margins on the sale of petroleum products are still regulated. Such a model is particularly inappropriate in conditions of pronounced volatility in oil markets, as it does not allow traders to respond appropriately and quickly enough to changes in global markets. This year, we are facing significantly deteriorated geopolitical conditions, which significantly affect instability in oil markets, and in which it is even more important that the model for determining the prices of petroleum products be deregulated, so that the prices of petroleum products can be adjusted daily to market conditions, as only in this way will oil traders be able to continue to ensure uninterrupted supply to our customers. Petrol warns that supply is not self-evident, especially not under conditions that are still determined by government decisions. In 2026, a significant part of the operations of the economic company Petrol is at risk, which is why the company will use all available options to protect its interests.
